✩ I will follow AKC rules and regulations.
✩ I will have high standards when caring for my animals.
✩ I will learn all I can about the structure, anatomy, movement,
behavior, and any inherited traits in Standard Schnauzers.
✩ I will learn about the Working Group of dogs that my Standard Schnauzer belongs to.
✩ I will breed my Standard Schnauzer only to improve the breed.
✩ I will only use or give service to registered dogs or bitches that are
physically and temperamentally sound animals in good health.
✩ The dogs or bitches I use also will be free of any serious inherited abnormalities
that might affect the health and soundness of the breed.
✩ My dogs and bitches will be free of hip dysplasia and have an OFA number.
✩ I will use the official standard of the breed when evaluating and breeding.
✩ I will only sell healthy animals with the proper temperament.
A current health certificate, three generation pedigree, registration papers,
and a feeding and care sheet will accompany each animal.
✩ I will insist upon spaying or neutering any animal not purchased for breeding.
✩ I will be truthful and informative when I advertise.
✩ I will not sell any dog through a pet shop, wholesaler, paid agent, or a commercial dealer.
✩ I will not use the suffix or prefix associated with a recognized
Standard Schnauzer breeder without their written permission.
